What this add-on does

EventGrabber is a Google Workspace add-on that reads the content of emails you choose to process and uses the Google Gemini AI API to extract event details, then creates a Google Calendar™ event on your behalf.

What data is collected and how it is used

Email content: When you click "Send to Calendar" on an email, the text of that email is sent to the Google Gemini API to extract event details (title, date, time, location). This happens only when you explicitly click the button — the add-on does not read emails in the background or automatically.

Gemini API key: Your Gemini API key is stored in your own Google account using Google Apps Script's User Properties service. It is never transmitted to or stored by the developer.

No data is stored by the developer. The developer of this add-on does not operate any servers, does not receive any email content, and does not collect any personal information.

Third-party services

Email content you choose to process is sent to the Google Gemini API, operated by Google LLC. Please review Google's privacy policy for information on how Gemini handles submitted content.

Google user data

This add-on accesses the following Google user data:

• Gmail™ messages (read-only): To read the content of the email you are currently viewing, when you click "Send to Calendar."
• Google Calendar™: To create calendar events on your behalf.

This data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the add-on and is not shared with any third party other than the Gemini API as described above.

Your controls

• You can remove your stored API key at any time by opening the add-on settings and clearing the field.
• You can uninstall the add-on at any time from your Google Workspace account.
• No data persists after uninstallation.
